.....................
The Hanukkah festival begins tonight and will last until December 18th. Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday, also known as the Festival of Lights. It is very celebrated, especially in Israel and the United States.
The name means "dedication" and commemorates the victory of a small group of Jewish rebels over the Greco-Syrian armies in 165 BC., the subsequent liberation and "rededication" of the Temple of Jerusalem.
An oil lamp was lit to celebrate the victory. There was only enough oil to burn the candle for one day, but it miraculously burned for eight days.
This is why the Hanukkah festival lasts eight days and why light is really important in the celebration during which a candle is lit for each day.
Modern Hanukkah celebrations focus on family and friends and include the illumination of the Hanukkah menorah (also called hanukkiyah); singing and playing special songs and games (dreidel); and eat foods prepared in oil, including latkes, sufganiyot, bimuelos (fried puffs) and keftes de prasas (leek meatballs).
🇮🇹/🇬🇧👇 DAILY ROUTINE - VIEW FROM MY WINDOW

I am working from home for the first time. My schedule is from Monday to Friday: a luxury for those who have always worked in tourism. This means I have to reorganize my days considering that often local restrictions prevent me from going out during my free time.

I'm one of those who still use a to-do list and writes notes on post-its. I find time for the books and courses to distract myself and enrich my knowledge base, and I always spend at least half an hour for physical activity ranging from yoga to walk to the park behind my house.

There is nothing more satisfying of a good me-time, and this is becoming a splendid priority. How do you organize your days? Do you make a to-do list? What's important to include?

🇮🇹/🇬🇧👇NEW WEEK
.......
I'm ready to start a new week and I'll try to use every "free moment" off the restrictions in the best way possible.
In the meantime, I dream about Jaffa and its mild sun. 🌞
What are your goals/plans for this upcoming week?

🇮🇹/🇬🇧👇 TRAVEL TRENDS IN 2021

----------------------------------------------
I was reading some interesting articles about the travel trends that are hypothesized for 2021 (restrictions permitting, of course), and here is a summary:

1️⃣ Local travel will continue to be a trend in 2021.

2️⃣ We'll start to talk about "reunion tourism" rather than groups. It seems that after international restrictions, many people will want to take group trips to reunite with family and friends.

3️⃣ In general, people seem optimistic about 2021, and those most likely to travel are those who currently work from home.

4️⃣ Tour operators are analyzing alternatives to offer such destinations that have better managed the pandemic and those that can guarantee the best standards of hygiene. The most remote places will be privileged, far from the big cities where you can practice slower and more sustainable tourism.

🧐 These are just hypotheses. What do you think about it? How do you expect the travel industry next year?
