I’ve never been abroad until November 2012. As my first experience abroad, I chose my dream country: Italy. I went to Genova to make my internship.
I was packing and getting ready for my first trip 4 months ago. I still remember my first day in Genova. I was excited and afraid at the same time but the fear disappeared after the first moment when I arrived in Italy, and from this day on I started to live in a dream. We were four girls from four different countries: Georgia, Albania, Argentina and Iran sharing an amazing house.
At first, I would like to talk about my work. With the other girls, we used to make presentations in schools. It was really interesting and funny. The students participated in the presentations, asking some questions about our country. I spent a great time with them, I made new friends and this is one of the best memories from Italy.
I had a great opportunity to meet Italian people, make new friends, get to know different cultures and visit beautiful places. What I liked most is that Italian people are very kind and always ready to help. Their faces are always smiley and happy and it makes you to be in a good mood. Everyone and everything is positive and full of happiness.
I’ve traveled a lot and visited many beautiful cities in Italy. I’ve been to Milan, Venice, Verona, Torino, Florence. These places are amazing with unique buildings and architecture. Each one has its typical sightseeing. I loved walking in the streets of Italy. Everything is really wonderful, ancient and you feel like you are part of ancient history. I’ve been walking and thinking of how stunningly the world is and how many places are I’ve never seen.
I went to Monte-Carlo as well. It is different from Italy: along the coast there are modern and luxurious apartments, hotels and shopping centers. It’s like a fairy tale.
I spent 45 days in Italy and it was unforgettable. Every morning started with a smile. Every day was full of happiness and adventures. It was a gift and thanks god for this. This experience made my life more beautiful and interesting. It gave me new friends, memories and they became part of my life. I’ll never forget people I’ve met and the places I’ve been. It wasn’t just a travel, it was more than this: it was about getting to know a new culture and people, sharing, learning. I’ve discovered the beauty of life. I’ve discovered new world, different from mine.
Athough I have amazing photos they aren’t enough to explain: you have to experience it yourself, see with your own eyes. No one can describe how beautiful these places are. You should take the time to see the world. These are moments that define the rest of your life. I’m sure that every place gives you a great experience in your life. It helps you to grow up. So, use an opportunity and travel.
